Need to say, since both former Presidents Rawlings and especially Kufuor degraded the national honours, it has become a little bit of a sour joke anytime these belittled honors are bestowed on anyone.

Need to say, since both former Presidents Rawlings and especially Kufuor degraded the national honours, it has become a little bit of a sour joke anytime these belittled honors are bestowed on anyone.

More than anything else, these honours have come to prove to the public that those who receive them have probably done some shady deal for the govt of the day.

As matters stand now it is more respectable to receive an award from ones local community for cleaning gutters than to receive national awards. The concept has also, like all other national institutions been destroyed and defamed by the post-Nkrumah looters and brigands who come under the cover of politicians.
