I do not know which wind direction AFAG leadership would like to blow but they cannot be all things to everyone without being simple-minded liars. GBC is not a privately held company that acquired it's operating license through purchase neither does GBC earn it's operating funds from viewer fee revenue. In a Ghana where each one of us lack in the civic responsibility department we allow people we know and presumably love to steal electricity, water and and other government provided resources and services for free and without care. We become knowing and willing by-standing while spouses, friends and family members steal from government coffers and yet expect free services from government. AFAG leadership must go back to the classroom to learn basic principle on human living or operating a for profit or non profit organization and maybe they can learn why the Ghana government is broke and cannot continue the freebies Ghanaians have grown accustomed to. Government is ineffective and inefficient because stealing and mismanagement is in every Ghanaian blood and we all need and get our daily fix by pretending to see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil about family, friends and others. We fault government as if governments are aliens and not from within the society we create. TV fees is probably the only utility fee the government has been good at collecting which affects equally the filthy rich, the rich and the poor in society; AFAG hates to see government effectiveness at work because it robs the AFAG leadership of something to hold press to bash government on even as they solicit funds.

We read "...Breakdown of how the income generated from this TV license fee would be shared among four (4) institutions...", but not exactly how much is "generated".
So, does "AFAG Leadership" do not know, or they simply do not care to tell the public. In either case, how is one supposed to know "AFAG Leadership" is serious?
Still, as far as we can tell, a "TV license" at 36Ghc/60Ghc is an odd one. How much of that money remains in each community, every year? To us, that is the important question.
We are saying Mahama's government/GBC cannot collect 36Ghc/60Ghc all over the place and send all funds collected to Accra, and still expect support from citizens.
How much in taxes and "TV license" is Mr. Mahama himself paying?
ITEM: "AFAG Leadership" have certainly not helped themselves with this "complaint". We would have expected a "critique", more or less!

We wont pay. Period!! GBC is living on past glory, that is dead in 2015. The incompetence and inefficiency of GBC cant be passed on to Ghanaians. I should be allowed which TV station to watch. Now, many people use decoders, including Q-Sat Decoders and DSTV Decoders. So why should I watch GBC in order to pay a TV License fee? ''Ghana people, we no go sit down make them cheat we every day'' Social democratic government, indeed!!!!! Walahi!
