The woman was very rude,disrespectful and intimidating,the headmistress did not insult her or the government for her to behave that way,the woman is her fellow woman who taught making that polite request to her will help her to get what she needs for the school,she didn't ask her to tell the government to give them money to buy food.

How many primary schools do you know in Ghana that have old students association that is providing school materials such as chalks and log books,do you know that log books are specially designed books for schools you cannot just go to Kukurantumi market to buy?

In Ghana they call primary school students pupils,do you know any OLD PUPIL ASSOCIATION of any primary school in Ghana,does she have one in her primary school that provides basic needs for her the school?

Let us throw away our political lenses at least once in the interest of Ghana,Ghana needs progress not retrogression.

What are the channels of procuring sundries and stationery for a school? Must every headmistress / headteacher then approach her for such items or convey their lack to government. Who is the government,it is you and I , via a chain of command, district regional e.t.c
People should stop insulting her, period. If she has suffered any embarrassment, she probably would learn from it. No one gains ( except those on political grounds) from insulting the 2nd Lady.

Jake, the mere fact that the Headmistress was appealing to such a highly placed personality to convey the message to the government should suggest to any body that attempts to procure school supplies through the normal channels were not yielding results. The school might therefore have considered the second lady's visit as an opportune moment to get the message across to the higher authority believing her word would carry some weight. The request was made, apparently, out of the great respect the Headmistress might have for the second lady. The latter's reaction, like Corney said, was therefore not befitting of her status as wife of the Veep. Her uncouth behavior towards the Headmistress in the presence of the pupils of the school must therefore be condemned in no uncertain terms by all level headed Ghanaians.

She insulted the Chiefs and people of Kukurantumi with her stupid rantings about government providing free things.

First, it is not the government responsibility to provide sandals and uniforms. The government core responsibility is to provide teaching materials for the schools and leave the parents to provide school uniforms and sandals.

Second, providing uniforms and sandals without providing the needed school supplies is like putting the cart infront of the horse.

It is very distasteful for a woman in her status to utter such nonsense. Did anybody asked Goat Mahama to supply school uniforms and sandals which Mrs. Amissah was talking about and neglecting to supply the very necessity which Mr. Adofo pointed in his article? The article is of no political punch but rather a factual point. I don't know how old you are and where you had your junior and senior high schools from, but let it be clear that past governments in Ghana did not choose to provide uniforms, sandals and sanitary pads to students and neglect them with the main ingredients which makes the whole education program workable.

I think you are of political agenda like Mrs. Amissah herself and not Mr. Adofo for choosing to donate Computers which the present state of the Nation's electricity issue makes such presentation not viable.

This has generated a huge amount of reaction ,some of them bordering on insults to the second lady . My question is: how do the chiefs and people feel about being insulted? Do they need politicians and concerned citizens to speak on their behalf?
