  We have not seen you on the grounds of Ghana for a long time even if you do it is anonymously.Perhaps when your suggestion come to pass since it makes sense to me,we would see you on the grounds in Ghana to celebrate that august festival with the Gas and people of Ghana.
  
  perhaps that might entice you to come and see that things are not too bad after all in Ghana.Or is it perhaps a further attempt to cement that bond between the Gas and the Akyems who defend the Gas even when the truth is far from that.Also it may an opportunity to throw your last short at having a Ga woman in addition to your wife if she will agree.Good luck to you.

I have had the opportunity of perusing "Sound of Sirens", and I have been astounded by the difference in tone and outlook compared to your pieces on Ghanaweb.   The beauty of traditional/cultural festivity has a direct links with the indigenous concepts and values of the people of that tradition. Any attempt to make Homowo celebration national Will amount to adulteration of culture. It will loose its natural vitality and beauty. The idea of the Christian Council seeking to join this year Homowo festivity is a bad one. The reason is that not long ago did Prof Mills, an ardent Christian, ban the pouring of libation at national events. How would the Christian council feels when the chiefs and the traditional priest begin walk them through the usual ritual of pouring libation and the invocation of the spirit of some deities other than the Christian God they worship? Will this also not amount to discrimination if the Christian Council refuse to join the Ewes, the Fantis or the Asantes whenever they also celebrate their traditional cultures? I think the Christian council are just being inquisitive for trying to be part of something they don't believe in. They stay in their lane.

You only know coastal Ga.Do you know Tema alone have over 150 villages?The Ga's have been celebrating Homowo long before there was modern Ghana.They do not need the Christian Council to promote the festival.Those who like the Ga's can join them to celebrate.They are a unique people who have survived for many generations despite their contacs with many cultures including the Europeans.
