  Nice article. I agree with the contents. This article helps us to look at our lives and question things. Unfortunately, many Ghanaians (and other Africans)blindly copy western things without questioning whether they are good or bad. We suffer from major inferiority complexes and seem to think everything western is better than what we have. An example is people preferring Dutch wax prints (or even the poor quality Chinese ones)to the ones made locally. This is a major pet peeve for me!! I prefer material made by GTP etc. over the foreign ones. I support local businesses and prefer them over foreign ones especially when it comes to our own indigenous things. Let us be proud to be Ghanaian and African. Having lived with Europeans, Norht Americans, Indians, Chinese etc., I can tell you that there is nothing special about any group. We are all human beings with the same problems and needs in life. There is good and bad in every group.

Democracy is embraced by Japan, South Korea, Chile, Argentina, Singapore, Brazil, etc. etc.Most of these countries you do not hear much about because their people live in democracies, with reasonable rule of law, reasonably honest business practices, public education systems through SHS,etc. Be careful in your stereotypes!!!

  Democracy is the best drinking water for Africa. Without democracy,my brothers and sisters we will be dead carcass.African need to stand fit to use the democratic rule of law with no favours.
