  "Communism was intended as a political-economic system which would liberate oppressed workers in industrialized western countries. It never took root in the intended environment and instead spread to undeveloped agrarian countries, the largest being Russia and China. Instead of liberating workers, the ideology was co-opted and used as a stepping stone to power by dictators who became the new oppressors. I wonder if Marx and Engels envisioned their system being used by Stalin or Mao to starve, massacre and imprison tens of millions of their own citizens."

  This is the first part of my rejoinder to Baidoo's series on Franklin D. Roosevelt and the New Deal.
  
  I specifically wrote to the editor of Ghanaweb that this is the first article I have written to critique Baidoo's article, but he did otherwise.
  
  I can only hope this is unintended. I am having a problem having my most recent rebuttals to Baidoo's articles published by Ghanaweb. This is just my the way.

  THEN THIS FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF BAIDOO'S MOUTH, ON YET ANOTHER SIDE OF GHANAWEB:
  
  BAIDOO: "...It is the statist, the communist, the Nazi and the fascist who resort to violence – war – because they cannot produce what they need. This is not a figment of my imagination..."
  
  WE SAY: Well it fits like a "figment"! Quacks like a duck, fits like a duck!
  
  ITEM: The Feudal Lords, the Mercantilists, even Christopher Columbus when he set off on the seas and "discovered" America, were on capitalist missions/enterprises.
  
  It is all elementary. It should not confuse anyone with a high school degree who has with a modicum of reflection, critical thinking skills, and respect for their forebears and history!
  
  By the way, is it science that says "...a new born baby...(is)...Ignorant...", or is it all another Manna story?
