Ghana is not a first world country to be burdened with your ridiculous demands. Even in rich countries, medical professionals do not receive 30% of salary as clothing allowance. You are asking for housing allowance, fuel allowance.... You must think you are demi-gods. Frankly, I have never been impressed with the service of Ghanaian doctors. While asking for these benefits, did you include the ability for patients to sue you guys for malpractice? Thousands of people die at your hands because of misdiagnosis and negligence. The country allows you to walk scot free. Is that fair? If you think your remuneration is paltry, refund the investment Ghana has made in your education, plus the opportunity cost of having not trained a patriotic doctor. And leave us in peace!

It will only take a die hard NDC activist, member or sympathiser who is completely blinded by his emotions and deafened with blood stained money not to sympathise with doctors.
1. So, should doctors in public service keep sacrificing for the nation at the risk of their own destinies.
2. The bluff of the government of bringing in Cuban doctors is not free, neither is it cheap.
3. The annoying and irritating part of it that politicians in Ghana who tripled their salaries at the beginning of 2012, who are the right people to demonstrate first what it means to sacrifice admist their fat cow salaries and huge benefits and sitting allowances in government and opposition still complain of being broke.
4. Currently, the work load of doctors is 4 times. They are not asking to be paid more. What they simply asking are improved benefits to enable them work better in a signed and sealed COS.
5. Either the president was missed informed or he is just plain dump. And i should think regretably that the latter is the case. "talking arrogantly and down to a group of people who more intelligent and wiser than him even as president.
5. Under the NPP, it is said when doctors decided to go on strike, the then president knelt before the representatives of doctors and begged them for an extension of time as his administration sorts the issue out. This is true humility and a leader.
6. The government and NHIS are the institutions responsible and not doctors. Why? They have to ensure that ghanas health facilities have the right medical staff at post. So mahama and NDC folks are the killers and murders in legal sense.
8. Look ghanas doctors are highly sort after. They are red hot in demand. In Canada, US and elsewhere.
9. I can bet my last dime, that is a case that will go down in history as mahama and NDC folks being highly insensitive and cold blood murders, particularly so when attempts to whip up public sentiment against doctors has now effective backfired.
10. The NDC will for once eat a humble pie, by going to the negotiating table and giving doctors their signed and sealed COS.
