  Doctors who had been educated with the tax of the poor now see themselves as their over lords.Tell me if a doctor has a car lives in a bungalow or is given 20% of his salary and other perks of service has a moral authority to further hurt the poor who sponsored his education.
  
  These doctors have no conscience especially when in comparison to the vast majority of public service workers they are doing far better than the rest of society.The rich will have money to pay for private medical care and even fly abroad for medical check up so this strike is not affecting the middle and upper income bracket since they can afford private medical services but the poor.
  
  For the love of money the first principle of the Hippocratic oath which say do no harm seems to mean nothing to some of these lots who don't understand the nature of their calling and think once you are a doctor,society owes you the world.

  Doctors in Ghana have misinterpreted the reason they were held in high regard. Now, they have a sense of entitlement which has grown over the many years of increasing greed at the expense of the blood of thier fellow citizens.
  If they feel they can provide good service, why do they want the government to guarantee foreign medical attention for themselves and family? That whole support should be withdrawn across the board..a left over from colonial times. Then gas money, books etc. There are countless stories of poor medical care and maltreatment of vulnerable people seeking care from a medical professional who has thier life in thier hands. To many Docs make a bad name fro the others who truly conduct themselves in a manner befitting the profession. Those good professionals should stand up against the nature and behavior of GMA. A new medical association is needed, of right mineded doctors.

  The current GMA is as corrupt and bankcrupt of spirit and a disgrace to the profession. A new medical society has to rise up.

  You guys are hypocrites! When the doctors put in their demand to govt OVER 1 YEAR AGO, and the govt did nothing, you were silent. Now they go on strike and you scrawl ill-informed opinions all over the place.
