Oh my brother, you have said it all. In fact no economist can convince me that ghana's economic woes are unavoidable or peculiar. How can a country like Côte d'Ivoire which has endured three or more years of bloody civil war, have a more resilient economy than Ghana ? Liberia , Sierra Leone and The Gambia are not experiencing the economic instability the we are facing now; their currencies are relatively stable, inflation is low, cost of living is manageable etc etc.
corruption is our bane. There has been so much looting under Mahama that there is very little left in the kitty.
Yet the mps and presidency deem it fit to provide huge ex gratia to themselves after only 4 years in office to the tune of GHC 400.000.00 whiles a civil servant gets about GHC 4000.00 after 35 yrs of work. Why won't Doctors also ask for conditions of service?

It is only lazy leaders who cannot work to transform their economies despite the endowed resources of their land that will succumb to the corrupt traditions and customs of the west, because of a few dollars.

My perception on this is that, as Ghanaians, as Africans, our leaders never learn to be patriotic enough to distribute the state's national cake evenly to all, to make everybody affordable to his or her needs; when the money is tapped from the hustle of the common 'tax payer', our leaders would first fill their bank account with maybe almost 75% of the money before allocating the remainder to national development. The insufficient leftover can not even commence a project, left alone to complete it. Hmm! that is our so called patriotic leaders. In fact, it is the other way round;prioritizing their pockets before the electorate and Nation Building. No doubt, Ghana is in Hell on Earth.
Due to the fact that, their 'pockets' is their priority, they have to resort to IMF on a continual basis for financial aid inspite of our oil;gold;timber; bauxite; diamond; cocoa; manganese, just name the rest.
Forgetting that those managers of IMF are for Gay Legalisation Ghana might also follow her borrowers.
God is to finally strike Ghana down if the 'Ghanaian Mindset' is not willingly changed since 'Heaven' and 'Hell' oppose each other.
In fact, the writer of this commented article of Ghanaweb, need to be applauded.
