They aren't stuck on stupidity! The problem is far worse than you'd imagine. Someone called is sometime ago "The mark of cain". Engineered in the DNA from the start, there's no way there could be rectification, so we're stuck with it until God, or extraterrestrials or any other beings try re-engineering the genes - a kind of DNA overhauling.
Sorry pal, and we're stuck with them!

Unlike Nkrumah, the leaders or officials lack negotiation skills and are corrupt minded to the extent that they are easily corrupted with "peanuts" to sell their country for a mess of potage. Long ago, Nkrumah was thinking of our energy needs and suggesting Solar energy among others. He talked of most parts of Africa benefiting from the hydro power from centrally located "Victoria" Falls. Integrated Aluminium Industry for Ghana etc..
Do we hear such talks from our so called present corrupt leaders? Sorry to say, they can't think beyond their noses because, they are so obsessed with corrupt money, women, organized and obligatory religion. They don't even read. All that our officials know is to take the loan bait and go for loans with "ropes" attached in the name of the nation. Is it not unbelievable for Ghana not being able to add even a link in our railway system ever since Nkrumah was overthrown?

Prof Lungu,
This should not surprise any casual observer who has followed the activities of our Parliament in the past twenty years. Nothing the twerps that have trooped the place over the years have done has been of benefit to the people of Ghana! From the approval of certificate cheats, child molesters and wife beaters for ministerial appointments, to handing out the taxpayer's cash to their local and foreign friends, it has been the same, sheer stupidity!
They have ganged together and produced an underclass of about 12 million semi-educated idiots on whom they can always depend for their re-election with enticements of syringes and tins of expired sardines and mackerel.
That is why we all have begin to take active interest in who gets elected to that horrible place!

"Sometimes, you wonder what God actually gave us brains for." Who are you speaking for? Why don't you replace "us" with "me," yourself, and "brains" with "brain," yours. You know what? There millions of Africans (Ghanaians) who are not like you. Millions of Africans who have very sharp and highly productive brains, so please speak for yourself! I always wonder what sort of "brain" you have to argue shallowly and cluelessly the way you always do!
As always here too, you merely scratched the but poorly. Your general ignorance about basic ideas knows no bound. You are here praising yourself for this badly written and poorly argued article.
That said, read this Danquah-NPP Socialism and Political Tribalism piece.

While speaking on Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosii Sen’ political programme in Accra at the end of last week former President John Kofi Diawuo Agyekum Kufuor denied sharing properties under the affordable housing scheme his government built among his cronies. While at it, he dared his critics to publish the list for Ghanaians to ascertain the truth. “I know we did nothing wrong and I challenge our people on the other side to publish the list of beneficiaries for the whole world to see” he stated.
Today, we are calling the bluff of former President Kofi Diawuo Kufuor. We publish below, the list of beneficiaries. The offer letters were signed by Hon. Abubakar Saddique Boniface on or around 18th. December 2008, when the NPP knew that they were about to lose the second round of the Presidential Elections. We have copies of the letters with the signature of the then NPP Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing. If they dare us, we will publish them.

Out of 113 allocations, 64 of thm were allocated to the children and people working for ex- President Kufuor. 18 were allocated to persons under Aliu Mahama. The remainder were for NPP Ministers and their relatives, party people and friends.
Next time Ex-President Kufuor opens his mouth to deny that there was corruption under his administration, he should be careful about daring people.

Unlike you, Prof. Lungu does not run away when he is asked to provide hard data/statistics for some of his arguments.
You are known to run away, copy and paste information without data/statistics (when pushed to) without even crediting your source.
No wonder some on Ghanaweb put KKO-aka-namesake-Baidoo's articles and their contents in the category of "high-school." On the other hand some of may go a bit lower.
Stop you clueless and grossly misdirected sentimentalism and use the coconut up there. Continue to learn from some of the best writers on Ghanaweb (and learn to argue "scientifically" rather than sentimentally).
Have a great weekend.
Thanks.

Your NPP and K.T. Hammond and enemy NDC are all there in the article. You get an inkling of what the NPP did to start the robbery and its continuity under the NDC.
More important, this article will teach how to advance "scientific" arguments. In this context you also get to understand why "Petroleum bill a very bad deal for Ghana" is more technical/sophisticated that all your articles put together.

Why we could never count Magic Johnson, Oprah Winfrey, the Tuskegee Airmen (one of whom, at 93-years old, was robbed and then carjacked just last week in St Louis), MLK, Mickey Leland of Texas, Nelson Mandela, Malcolm X, Mahatma Gandhi, Patrice Lumumba, Frantz Fanon, Molefi Asante, Kwame Nkrumah, etc., as one among the "Civil Libertarians".
Even Ronald Reagan who failed on many fronts - knew better!
Imagine, even American conservative star Rand Paul, after parlaying his fathers stature into a Senate seat mightily swallowed his faux "civil-libertarianism" when it was explained to him government protects the rich/shop owners, etc., more: government uses the taxes everyone pays to provide more services to them. Therefore, they cannot discriminate even at the "Lunch Counter"!
Government is not a civil club!

It's been brought to our attention that the MCC facility is a grant, not a loan. We agree and apologize for the error on our part.
We will add that even grants must be properly prioritized by the recipient to the extent there are always alternative uses. Grantors do not prioritize a country's development agenda unless the agenda is seriously at odds with their own development agenda. In those cases, the grant would probably not be granted.
As a result, our thesis in this paper still stands.
As we still maintain in the paper, Ghana could solve more than 60% of the power production deficit with that scale grant - via sustainable energy PV Solar Power.
Better yet, that size PV power plan, wherever the location(s) (1, 2,3,4, etc.), is scalable!
As a result, we have revised the final paper, and re-posted it at GhanaHero.com.
