Our main problem as Ghanaians is the choice we have to make between two parties - one that promises big salaries for workers, cheap commodities in the market, low interest rate, and all the heavenly promises, and the other which looks at building infrastructure, manufacturing base of the economy, build schools, colleges and Universities, bridges, roads, etc.

If you believe in easy life in Ghanaian heaven, your choice is NPP. However, if you believe in nation building through hardwork, pain and sweat, your choice is NDC. No free meals here.

The Nigerians have given a new terminology just before their recent election that dropped the mahama like non performer Jonathan.
it is called STOMACH INFRASTRUCTURE (on BBC yesterday) whereby the ruling government bribes the ignorant rural population with cash, rice, cutlass etc. This was common with Jonathan. However, Nigerians have woken up, they collect the stomach infrastructure and vote using their brains. That is how Jonathan lost.
Fellow Ghanaians collect the stomach infrastructure from the NDC but on the election day you vote them out massively. Nigeria has paved the way for the rest of Africa to follow.

NDC could not frivolously spend $5bn of the public money outside the budget in 2012 to buy the conscience of gullible voters, and expect that everything would be normal in the subsequent years without any difficulties in our fragile economy. In fact, this is one of the reasons why Ghanaians are being overtaxed and wallow in hunger. Can the IMF prevent NDC from engaging this electoral malpractice again?
