Gamey should tell Ghanaians how much the government has given him to do the stupid talking. He should be ashamed of himself.

Really so far there is no credible private labor expert than Gamey and he should be credited. Such politically motivated writing would not help. He is the best for now. Why strike any way?

The man is a disaster personified. He even finds it difficult to conceal his penchant for siding with govt against workers in this country.
I am not surprised that the GMA eventually found it necessary to summarily get rid of his services. They kept him for too long before they realized that he was a greedy double-agent who was taking from both sides.

Ghana is chaotic and hard for anyone to govern by design care of NDC and NPP. And those who fan these politically destructive parties do so from afar where they enjoy the comforts and developments of nations where ideals and ideas trump the works of saboteurs.
If the social status of any profession is grounds for and demand for desired paychecks why must teachers in Ghana not get on the picket line each year? After all they gave us all the classroom educated but ignorant fools running government and all the professionals in society? The Mahama goverment must not allow desires of tribal bigots and the ignorance of presumed educated and uneducated NPP members hiding behind church curtains or collection of worthless social organizations to disrupt his agenda if he has one. We live in a Ghana where stealing utilities and government money, avoiding paying taxes and tolls or fanning activities for disorder is cherished by most in the NPP and NDC; what we need is a leader who will stand on principles to act for good or bad outcomes.

When we are fooled by a multi-party system to vote for one of an array of incompetent and inherently corrupt parties that operate in such a system, who when they attain govt, their primary concern is to enjoy the glamorous largesse of the state and loot what remains, what do you expect? Ghanaian workers are forced to be corrupt to make ends meet because dumb politicians who have inherited a colonial type of govt-worker relationship, look down upon workers with a patronizing attitude that inhibits any attempt at elevating their status to the most minimal of decent living conditions.
When one considers the vast amounts of moneys that are being criminally squandered by politicians and their local and foreign collaborators, can you look God in the face and blame those who avoid or dodge their tax responsibilities entirely? Can you blame workers who are paid a pittance that cannot as much as carry them through the first week after pay day, for being corrupt?
The salaries of some of the best paid Ghanaian workers cannot even match the most basic unemployment benefits of some of those countries that our politicians collude with, to rip off our country.
Your comment was disabled with incomplete sentences which made it difficult to fully grasp some of your arguments but however, until we can all inevitably agree with some kind of no-party or one-party state, or better-still a socialist state, I completely agree with you that, a principled leader may, for the meantime, be able to more efficiently hold the fort. But mind you, that option can only be feasible as a temporary measure. A principled leader does not and cannot work in an ideological vacuum. A principled leader is fired by and stands upon certain values and principles which by themselves do not stand in a vacuum.
We have to take the hard decision to remain a (pro)capitalist nation, which means that we will have to continue sticking with the unpalatable and unproductive neo-colonialist arrangement which we currently find ourselves in and which has only robbed us of all our resources and our values and our pride as a people.
Or, we have to revert to a (pro) socialist arrangement which in my estimation, is a more disciplined, nationalist-oriented and a more economically productive option for developing nations to pursue a more rapid pace of development as a fully independent nation. More importantly, the socialist philosophy is inherently imbued with the mechanisms to enable us cleanse ourselves of all oppressive racist and subservient colonial/imperialist appendages and one-way exploitative arrangements that have held us down for the past 500 years.
