  Thanks for your comment Kofi. "Lest" is colloquial, noted in the Oxford English Dictionary as OE - Old English, written as "Loes" or "Loeste" (note that both the "o" and "e" are concatenated. The later and Shakespearean versi ...

  Thanks for your comment Kofi. "Lest" is colloquial, noted in the Oxford English Dictionary as OE - Old English, written as "Loes" or "Loeste" (note that both the "o" and "e" are concatenated. The later and Shakespearean version was "'Less" for "Unless" whose more modern version is "Less", the one I used.
