  Entrapment is not only limited to government agents but journalist as well and there are many case histories on journalistic entrapment in the UK.It is a very, very clear case of entrapment solely to create a newspaper story.
  
  The fact that the subterfuge did, in fact, uncover evidence of wrongdoing could not retrospectively justify the initial decision to engage in subterfuge.
  
  Entrapment is not a criminal offence. It is a method of obtaining evidence that provides a defendant with grounds to argue that the evidence has been 'unfairly obtained'. If the Court agrees with him, the Court might find there has been an abuse of process and that would undermine a prosecution.
  
  The Judge will consider the methods used by the undercover journalist and whether, even without their actions, the Defendant would have committed the crime. If they would have, then there is no entrapment and the journalist simply created an opportunity for the defendant to commit a crime that they would have committed anyway. If they would not have, the Judge might find that the evidence was obtained by means of 'entrapment' and is therefore tainted.
  
  It would then be treated as any other improperly obtained evidence so that if that is the only evidence against a defendant it will become difficult to prosecute him. If it is only one part of the evidence then the trial may continue regardless.
  
  The public interest test will apply if even the method used is unfair.This is closely related to the public interest arguments concerning subterfuge – like surreptitious recording entrapment would only be justified if there was specific information about pre-existing suspected wrongdoing.

  How? we are watched the televised 2012 npp election petition and we all saw and heard the how flawed our electoral system was. i.e where EC could not account for over 300,000 + overseas votes. If they did then that was 750 becoming the new 300,000.
  
  At that instance, we all knew the right thing is a new system that will root out all the lapses. Yet the flawed ghanaian mind want the flawed system to be maintained.
  
  Systems in Ghana, needs changing to serve as check on us, because the ghanaian is flawed.
