  How could 1 percent of the world population control 60 percent of the wealth? Yet some nincompoops think it is the way to go. Capitalism is the reason for all the wars, colonialism, slavery, apartheid and racism. Capitalism is just a sophisticated form of feudalism.
  
  The writer is right. They preach the free market nonsense but when wall street collapsed from policies that the financial capitalists themselves made, they had the public bail them out. Look at Ghana, once we don't owe any more on the Akosombo dam, they bamboozle else to sell ECG so they would come in and profit at the expense of the people. Africa will never develop under capitalism. The imperialists will not allow that to happen since they will lose out.

  Look, no human institution is perfect. Even there are lapses in the west but as long as they keep the law above all and sundry, they know they are trying but what about us?
  
  Go the communist way and there are problems or whatever system of government one may think of. We on the African continent will always be shortchanged because we cannot think and act on our own.
  
  Let me give you one simple example. In this 21st century, why do we have to invite some "experts" from the world bank to come and tell us to be cost conscious? Now, if a nation, with a population of twenty something million can act that silly, why do you have to attack a certain system of government?
