There are no differences between business as usual outcomes and those of property seeking ideologies. Businesses that look to the bottom line and nothing else matter look to money for motivation and will stop at nothing to get it; there's no shame or a care in their game. Property seeking folks are on the opposite side of that coin; they're motivated by money and believe in the cut throat existence where what's good for the common good is seen as a hindrance to all they can get.
Ghana cannot, therefore, have it both ways. We either stand with business that see wisdom in the common good and act accordingly or with those who could give a damn about community interest just as long as they extract what they can get from society. There is no one of the property seeking society who is not greedy and is remorseful about the effects of bribery, corruption and or abuse of labor and resources; they thrive on those ills. Is there anyone in Ghana of a sound mind and ability to read or hear not see or know that politicians and the politically connected are at the top of the rich index in Ghana and thus preach the gospel according to saint property seekers while in developed nations politicians make median income? How does the Ghanaian society benefit from property seeking society where the rich and powerful have captured ever piece of land, have control of agencies with oversight authority over rules, have undue influence on financial resources and dictate to those who provide labor for them to earn their riches?
In every property seeking society it is not the common good that drives the laws, practices and procedures of organized systems but the rich and powerful knowing that true free market and economic principles that give rights to labor would cut into the profits of business and affect the bottom line thereby minimizing the gap between the rich and poor. Property seeking ideology is a Trojan horse used to garner popular support from the mostly ignorant while keeping in place all the levers that keep the poor in their place and the rich unfettered access to pillage and subjugate workers. It should not be a surprise to anyone who reads and is attuned to world events to know that people who live in democratic socialist nations in EU community do have longer life expectancy, are more happy in life and do have, as a percentage of the population, minimum people living below the poverty line. These are facts that cannot be matched in any so-called democratic nation including this delusional democracy we practice in Ghana. Anyone in Ghana who believes the economic engine in Ghana can be revved up to surpass America is in lala land. But it will take that much and more in Ghana for the property seeking class to give the middle class and the poor a chance to get where the Kufours, Rawlings, current and former MP's and all the rich thieves perch. Do we serously think the rich folks in Ghana who love the attention they get in society truly want to see the middle class and the poor match them home for home, cars for cars and equal justice in our courts; how delusional can we be?
