  Availability of information to voter has not changef the status quo be they uneducated, undereducated but all lacking wisdom. We're where we are in Ghana not because of lack of information but because of abundance of falsehoods put in the hands of a nation of the unwise. We continue to vote for corrupt and contemptible people to run the nation because of tribal and political party preferences with ongoing disastrous results because we are not smart. Yet the cross section of voters give the same lame and faulty reasons their puppet masters at party offices put out.
  
  Look at the NDC and you'll find men and women in empty suits afraid of their own shadow but very much attuned with the art of stealing, using brute force to justify wrongs just as long as a few of the party leaders get rich.
  
  Now look at the NPP and it does not take much to understand their leaders thrive on tribal politics and the sale of falsehoods, forgery and altering voice and data of people in opposition parties. In their hypocritical trance the NPP condemns the policies of every other government while they steal and mismanage national assets in the name of privatization. Yet with all the information staring voters in the face (poor men and women of the NPP becoming rich overnight because of political appointments and connection built on tribe and party) NPP supporters vote for people all too willing to destroy Ghana or die trying.
  
  Information my ass; we just have too many ignorant folks at the base of the NPP and NDC parties incapable of leaning from past mistakes and or mistakes of others.

  The Freedom of Information Bill has been of major interest to us for a long time. We imagine the "ignorant folks" do not know to any great detail what any politician has acquired in fortune as a government functionary because of lack of information. A strong FOI bill will be beneficial in that regard.
  
  So, we agree: The corrupt politicians are "shadowy". They are scared of the FOI law, and have no appetite to see it in law.
  
  We must ask for it, and encourage others to ask for it, too!
