  It is quite evident that chieftaincy is antiquated and useless in the 21st Century - and that it should be uprooted and dumped into the trash heap of history.This dinosaur is a huge albatross around Ghana's neck and is stymieing the nation's development.
  
  The institution is a cesspool of corruption(worse than the Judiciary); is responsible for inter and intra ethnic violent conflicts,upon which the government continues to spend millions down the drain;it pockets royalties from mining,grafts,bogus land sales (thanks to the Aborigines' Rights Protection Society);and is the chief proponent of primitive cultural traditions.
  
  These parasitic chiefs claim that their ancestors were "great" and led their militias to war. However,when one turns the pages of history,it becomes patently clear that they were murderers who burned villages and towns,killed hundreds of thousands of their tribal"enemies",and sent millions they captured to the Americas - to become slaves.
  
  Today,we've put these parasitic progenies of murderers,on a pedestal and call them "royals".
  
  Politicians will not change the Constitution - which also benefits them.Either the suffering masses act to get rid of these parasitic elites(as in France in late 18th Century), or some new Atartuks,Nehrus and Mengistus,might intervene to save Mother Ghana.
