  Thanks for informing the writer about this. I left the WAEC school system before social studies was introduced to incorporate a number of subjects.
  
  Anyway, as a former teacher, both in Ghana and Nigeria, we constantly had to speak to the students about how to go about addressing issues of conflict, and not resort to fighting, which can lead to both parties being punished. If offended, you must report the culprit for us teachers to sort the issue out. Serious cases go to the Principal/Headmaster.
  
  This topic does not need to even go into the curriculum but into the school topical/current affairs and character building programme. E.g., schools have regular talks from eminent people, etc,. At the beginning of each semester, at the school gathering, pupils/students can be taken through an improved version of the "Courtesy for Boys and Girls" that was in vogue in the 1970s. Are they still in circulation? Then, everybody is issued one upon entering secondary school. Could be extended to the JSS too.

  Is de writer a ghanaian?We have been teaching this topics in our schools since the 2007 but the writer doesn know.If u had tsken ur time to find out???.....Hasty generalization mr writer.U are part of ghs problem
