This KKO praised Philip Kobina Baidoo when the two engaged each other, only to turn around to tell "Lexus," another moniker for Ghanaweb commentator, that he is a SOCIAL DEMOCRAT. Yet all my arguments with Baidoo was about SOCIAL DEMOCRACY.
The major problem, as I have come to know, is that these are basic stuff that should be taught all over Ghana from primary school to the university level.
Sadly, where they are taught they are not even taught well. And a Ghanaian doesn't have to even go to school in Ghana to learn these things. I don't intend to demean Prempeh Forson, but a friend called me after after reading Prempeh Forson's article "What is Nkrumahism" on Ghanaweb thinking the article was written by a high-school student, only to find out later that Prempeh Forson was an individual with a master's.
My friend has a PhD and multiple master's degrees (my friend lives in Europe and has worked/done big projects for some of Europe's biggest governments). Sometimes I read KKO's comments and I wonder what this guy is saying. I AM VERY SERIOUS. Besides, KKO once told me he was a scientist. I am not saying I am better than anyone on Ghanaweb because I am not. What I am more concerned about are the largley uneducated comments these self-described "scientists (KKO/Prempeh Forson) make on articles.

The colonial government saw to that. The CPP government's rapid education program was, in large part, to redress this. The situation improved considerably under the program but there were still lots of illiterate Ghanaians. I still remember my mother's difficult and ultimately futile efforts at learning to read and write thru the govt's mass education program that was next to free...
As a kid, I also went out to the streets that evening to rejoice over the overthrow of Nkrumah. The rejoicing was in the evening because in the morning nobody really knew what was happening. Me, I was too young to know anything and just followed the crowd but I was enjoying free education and free health. I was too young to know these freebies were the results of the man's policies. It was only later, as adults, that we realized most of the things NLC told us about the man were false. Most, but not all. It was true that the economy wasn't as healthy as it was a few years earlier. And there was corruption even within the ranks of the party. I think that vice is in our nature as Ghanaians(?) by which I mean Nkrumah may not have been directly responsible for that...
My question to you, Lungu, is to tell me one thing, just one thing, that Nkrumah could have done differently...
I ask that question because it seems you (and others like you) don't think Nkrumah ever did anything wrong that is worth discussing even by his ardent supporters and all others who also agree he was a great leader, despite everything...
