But I doubt Kuffour cares what happens in the NPP. But I believe great men like JH Mensah are very Concerned.

God will make a way in this wilderness for the NPP in 2016 just like He did at the time of Esther in the Scriptures even if ex president Kufuor refuses to take part in this current process. God will glorify His name without Kufuor Arthur Kennedy and Nyaho Yamakloe. Salvation will come from somewhere for Ghana without them. Mark my words.

You people are the problem in the NPP. You are quick to blame others for the failures of the party but yourselves especially your present crop of leaders.
I think you should rather spent time on why JAK succeeded and see how you can compare and contrasted that to your current leadership. Stop the blame game and go back to work.

The NPP idea of a level playing field is actually a field tilted in their direction!! A major reason for JAKS winning two terms was that Ghanaians were simply tired of JulorJohn two decades in office and therefore not inclined to elect his vice, coupled with JAKs display of grace dignity and statesmanship in the aftermath of his defeat by JulorJohn in 96!! Further the much maligned Dr Yaw Afari-Gian withstood intimidation that included the kidnapping of his family in situ to ensure the will of the people was not abrogated!!

What has Nyaho-Tamakloe's ethnicity have to do with his antics. I notice you had nothing to say about Arthur K ethnicity. Are you suggesting that non Akan NPP members have to consider themselves as pseudo or adopted Akan! Are you an ethnic jingoist? Is NPP an Akan party? Akan jingoists like you appear to be are a major reason that NPP will remain an opposition party!!! NPP cannot win power unless and until it perceived as an inclusive party!!! No political party can win national elections if it appears to be dominated by ethnic jingoists!! NPP cannot come to power with only the Akan electorate, further a substantial section of the Akan electorate are not jingoists and are hostile to the NPP for that reason!! If the NPP does not purge itself of the jingoistic elements it is doomed to remain an opposition party!!! It is not 1969, we do not have a parliamentary system with the undemocratic "first past the post" electoral mode that enabled Busia to manipulate ethnic passions to "win" with a minority of total votes!!

Just go and look at the voting pattern in national elections from 1969 and tell us which parts of Ghana vote along ethnic lines. "I am one of you vote for me" was a popular mantra in Election 2012. Fortunately, the rest of us do not reason that way!
The article is about a level playing field, no more no less. Let us make sure that ONLY Ghanaians, born and bred and legally naturalised vote in Ghanaian elections, not criminally smuggled voters!

The writer referenced two NPP personalities one Akan the other Ewe. He did not reference ethnicity with Arthur K. In regards to the other and I quote " Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe like the late Professor Kofi Awoonor sees himself as an Ewe first". Now kindly enlighten me as to what his ethnicity has to do with his antics? And if his ethnicity colors his antics, does Arthur K ethnicity color his antics also? What your blinkered mind resolutely refuses to acknowledge is that the constant casual dismissal of opposing views by reference to ethnicity is part and parcel of Akan jingoists tactics, and is a major reason that many non Akans are dismissive of the NPP! Further, it is divisive and does not inure to the benefit of the NPP!! I will hazard a guess that the " ya gye ye aman" nonsense during JAKS tenure was negative for the image of the NPP!! Finally a person from northern Ghana saying " vote for me I am one of you " does not resonate in as negative a manner simply because the North is made up of many ethnic groups and it is therefore a sectional not ethnic appeal. Also ethnic groups from the North are not perceived as being dominated by people who suggest they are ethnically superior to other Ghanaians unlike the Akan fairly or not! As to the canard that non Ghanaians have infiltrated the voters register it is a mere assertion that at the current time remains unproven. Your assertion in re the 1969 elections is laughable and not supported by the historical record! Further it is a matter of fact that the PP resorted to naked and blatant ethnic appeals to beat back other parties in the Ashanti Eastern and Brong-Ahafo regions!! For example " na wu wu nim seh saa party pepefuo ni ayigbefu dawso womu dodo" in reference to Imoru Ayarna & Modesto Apaloo Nationalist Party!! Or "NAL dieh eyeh ayigbefu party ooh Asante fu omu wor saa party nu omu yes gyimigimifu" in reference to the Komla Gbedemah led National Alliance of Liberals!! Kindly refrain from the MATEMEHO traditions addiction to attempting to fabricate historical fact!! Finally both the NDC & NPP are morally, ethnically and ideologically bankrupt political organisation which do not have Ghana at heart!!
