  People behave as if they are intellectuals but they are not. please tell me how the issues raised by the current register can be cured? If this can not be guaranteed, then compiling new register will be tantamount to causing financial loss to the state.
  
  1- How can we stop those so called Togolese with existing voters ID Card from re-registering?
  2-How do prevent under aged from registering?
  
  if there a genuine reason for registering since my bio-metrics have not changed?
  
  What new data will be captured that isn't already on the system that I have to go and queue for another registrations.
  
  The argument that Ghana has disproportionate voters compared to its population in comparison to others countries in nonsense. In those countries, they have a functional national ID cards, in Ghana, there is none. The growth of the baking sector in the last 10 years has been phenomenal. Also, the mobile money has seen the biggest growth in the last 4 years and so it is the use of Mobile phones. These services require production of ID cards and since the only free cards available is the voters ID cards, certainly everybody who needs ID cards including people under 18 will go for them. Hence, you don't expect the voters population to be similar to others countries.
  
  It does not matter how many people are on the register, if we remove duplicate registrations and synchronized the register electronically and we police the polling station better with people who understand how the voting is managed, we will have a credible election results.

There must also be criminal prosecutions since this could only had been done with the complicity of EC staff, whom, presumably, would still be in post. Anyway, what's taking the EC so long to confirm the issue of scanned images & evidence of high registration rates in some constituencies eg Jomoro? It's that delay that's making some Ghanaians sceptical about the impartiality of Charlotte Osei.

  I think Bawumia does not know the history of the Volta region.Perhaps he is telling us that when NPP wins in 2016,they will hand over Volta region back to Togo.Npp must be very careful not to provoke the Togolese.Thank you.

Of course victory comes frm Allah n he will surely honour NANA AKUFO ADDO a victory 2016... I wil not not b supprise if Mahama get 41% of ghanaian votes .thatz even too much. Consider no.of graduates unemployed due to embergo almost 4yrs now. do u think we are senseless being. abbah Mahama.what do u want ghana for?? No hope for Mahama again, he should go away.

  Since 1992,the NPP has always gone against the EC which is unfortunate.Prof.Adu Boahene led NPP to boycott the 1992 Parliamentary elections.In 2008 Nana Addo boycotted a run-off at Tain and refused to concede defeat earlier.In 2012 Nana Addo rejected the results declared by EC and sued the electoral institution in Supreme Court.NPP accused the EC for rigging the presidential results in favour of Mahama.Nana Addo demanded the Supreme Court to overturn the declaration for him when apparently he won in only 2 out of 10 regions.NPP also lost more seats in parliament than they did in 2008.How can Nana Addo win presidential elections when his party has lost more and more seats in minority?How can Nana Addo claim that he has won the Presidential elections when as a matter of fact he won only 2 out of 10 regions?Does that make any sense?Yet NPP continues to accuse the EC for rigging the 2012 elections,only a fool will believe that.This is exactly what NPP is doing today by accusing the boss of EC,Charlotte Osei.On what basis can NPP the minority party claim that majority of Ghanaians want a new register?Have they conducted a refrendum or what?You see,the EC cannot compile a new register based on Bawumia's unfounded statement.The so called 76000 individuals have to be proven if they are Ghanaians or not.Bawumia is not the Minister of Foreign Affairs to determine the nationalities of the 76000 individuals he alleged to have found on Ghana and Togo voters register.Then again,it is not a crime for some people to register on 2 different countries.It is legal for people with parents from different countries to be eligible voters at both sides.Bawumia should revisit his history books and learn about Volta region,which was once called Trans-Volta-Togo.Unless Bawumia is saying that if NPP wins the 2016 general elections Ghana will hand over Volta region back to Togo.Npp must stop calling people foreigners anyhow,even the EC boss,they say she is a Nigerian,JJ,they say he is not a Ghanaian,they even took him to court and Kwame Nkrumah,they say he is a Liberian.What is wrong with you guys?Thank you.

  Your article makes a number of points but I will deal with only two of them which are paramountly compelling. 1. You don't expect a sitting president who is seeking re-election to appoint an EC who is neutral or with leanings towards the opposition. For this reason you are absolutely right that Charlotte is not neutral. 2. The fact that people from both NDC and NPP have vowed to prevent Akuffo Addo from ever becoming president is what SHOULD baffle every objective and fair thinking Ghanaian. He would have been president in 2009 and 2013 but for this 'cabal'. Is it his honesty or the fact that he is not a cabal member? But God is omniscient and knows the beginning from the end so let us pray and ask THE TRUE GOD to intervene on behalf of the nation. By the way, why has the NDC become the mouthpiece of the EC and are bent on keeping the register known to be flawed? I smell a rat.

  Even in the 2008 elections it was the NPP who hijacked the procurement of electoral materials for the EC. No party apart from the NPP ever did that in Ghana.Anytime NPP goes into opposition they behave as though everything about the country is bad and nothing is going on well in Ghana. But we have seen them in government before, where cocaine and drugs were all over the place. The entire government of the NPP was tainted with drugs and many horrible things happened in this country. They should SHUT UP.

If the head of EC is biased against a party or individual contestant it is more likely his or her directives to staff will reflect as such unless of course you are claiming here and now that all of our elections have been above board thanks to the unbiased professional staff; which is it Mr. Forson? And if EC staff are fair minded and dispensed their duties above board then why did the NPP go to court after the 2012 elections? Was Afari Djan changing vote counts at each precinct to give a win to the Mahama administration? You, Mr. Prempeh Forson and a whole bunch of rabble rousers in Ghana are not only a danger to Ghana but thrive in your illogical assertions in the hopes that the masses of brain dead kokoase foot soldiers will continue to make life miserable for all unless you and your preferred party come to power.
  
  My only regret is in the fact that other tribes in Ghana continue to allow a God-fearing principle to prevent them from matching fire with fire from tribes that see themselves as mighty in Ghana. There is no one or two tribes in Ghana that can win a war against all the other tribes. The days of fallacies of bravery are over and you and others can take that to the bank.

In 1956 plebiscite 48% of Ewe voted to remain autonomous, Ashantis fought for Federation and merged forces with the North led by Dombo. Matemeho was not only an Asante call but a call from the Ewes and Northerners as well. There was nothing wrong with Asantes demanding from Nkrumah to make Ghana his focus instead of wasting our money on an impossible venture and they are vindicated today.
  
  I see where you are going with that empty and useless tribal broken record. Ashanti has always lived with northerners and married from the north and never saw themselves better than northerners. Ashanti started tribal marriage in Ghana with Northerners before other tribes joined in. In every Ashanti palace you will find a batakari that is older than your great grandmother. Ask Otumfuor how old his Batakari Kesie is and you will know how long Ashantis have related with the northerners. The Bretuo clan of Ashante comes after Oyoko clan and led by the chief of Manpong who sits on silver stool, they believe their ancestors migrated straight from the North. Do you know why Manhyia Palace is surrounded by Moslems and Northerners and do you know why there is a zongo in every Ashanti town?
  
  There was no tribalism in Ghana until the Radical Nkrumaists group led by Kofi Awoonor, P V Obeng and so on deceived Jerry Rawlings to take power from the Theoretical and confused Nkrumaists led by Limann and decided to unleash terror on Ashantis and Akans in general who opposed Nkrumah. They did that out of envy and decided tribalism will be the best tool to gain support using Ashantis as soft target.
  
  It works like magic, divide Akans by reminding them of how Ashantis have always fought to rule them and how too known, arrogant and disrespectful they are. Then tell Voltarians and Northerners how wicked Ashantis are and how they disrespect them. If you have Akan divided and Ewes and Northerners against Ashantis and tag NPP Ashanti party you gain support.
  
  This is the easiest political strategy by a group of evil men who took power in 1981. They disguised themselves as socialists and Nkrumaists but were capitalist to the core. I do not have a cure for this hatred. Kofi Awoonor and his friends drew a line between Ashantis and Ewes - two tribes who once lived together and worked together. Today most Ashanti families do not trust Ewes to allow their sons and daughters to marry from there and this is all the doings of politics.
  
  Obed Asamoah, Akua Dansowaa, Kwabena Adjei and many more Voltarians have Akan names but due to ignorance anyone with Akan name is seen as an Ashanti. You call yourself Abeeku Mensah and you think whichever tribe I belong to thinks they are better than others. Do you have a personal experience or you are just poisoned and cant think or observe your environment and make sound judgment? If you went to boarding school did anybody from the tribe you hate so much make you feel worse by putting you down or projecting themselves above you. I went to Adisadel college and if you care to know, everyone who came from Ashanti region was nicked name Kumasiano and it was meant to be derogatory, meaning they didn't have much exposure.....not westernized enough compared to Accra boys. But Ashantis have thick skin, they don't let things get to them. They are proud people and they don't care even if they cant speak English, they respect their God's given language. This does not mean they feel better than others. I don't know how old you are but if you are as young as me or even younger then I hope very soon you come to realize the need to drop this whole tribal nonsense.
