  What, exactly, is the legal procedure in such cases? The lawyers on the forum should tell us their opinions.
  
  In the first place, the matter is not yet before a trial judge (court). A judicial committee has been set up whose findings may eventually lead to prosecutions. Perhaps witness appearances before committees are ruled by different procedures than in court cases. What is the judicial praxis?
  
  If cases eventually come to court, what will be the procedure there?
  
  We all know of witness protection where there is the fear that the witness is in a weak position that can land him/her in trouble later. Can we say that Anas is weak in that sense? Rape victims are often given this kind of protection (not to be seen) but Anas can hardly be compared to a rape victim. If anything, he was rather the rapist in the sense that he surreptitiously invaded the privacy of others (even if for a good social motive).
  
  Even in both cases (committee investigation and public trial) there are serious concerns of Anas appearing in a mask. Many Ghanaians feel there is some injustice in an accuser seeing the face of the person he is accusing of grievous crimes while the accused cannot see his accuser's face. Even murderers deserve a fair trial.
  
  Anas may have done all of us a great service but the moral and fairness dimensions of his procedures need to be discussed. He has sold his story to the Ghanaian public, he has hanged the accused justices in public, and the public has already condemned the justices. The least Anas can do is to tell the same public why he needs to go about in a mask. It is unfair of him to so ruthlessly make use of the public and still hide himself from that same public.

  The argument is not about the weight of the evidence. It's not about changing the evidence. It's about being fair to both accuser and accused. It's a matter of fairness even if we all know the judges should be found guilty.
