  UK is a practicing successful democratic nation where it is more likely to know 95 percents of homes and offices with indoor toilet facilities, where the people love the country over their party politics and stealing is not a national achievement for its members of Parliament or occupant(s) of Number One Downing Street. In Ghana we have either the NPP currently in the minority that would sabotage any progress in Ghana to ensure the likelihood of coming to power at the expense of the NDC and all Ghanaians; the same is true when the NDC is in the minority.
  
  The Finance Minister in Ghana does not have the power to change our lot; ask Dr. Bawumia, the all knowing NPP economist who cannot point to a legacy from all the years he spent at Bank of Ghana. One does not have to be in a ruling government to contribute to societal welfare; those who cannot help must stay out the way for those who can instead of undermining and selling cheap fabrications to their dumb supporters to incite chaos. Why should each of us not ask what we would expect on our respective tombstones? Do we want to be known as the saboteurs and tribal zealots or men and women with wisdom and love for country?

  Mr Joe Fraizer, this comparison does not make sense. The UK story cannot be our story. Since the 80s we have been going back again and again to the IMF for bailout. With the level of corruption and mismanagement in Ghana, how can our story be compared to Britain. Did you read the finance minster just saying that the $1billion in Eurobonds was done to refinance old debts. Our energy situation is in a mess. UK wean themselves from IMF and did not go back. The economics of such comparisons is just not there.
