  My simple answer to your question: There is nothing wrong with a Northerner. Maybe I can explain my answer in simple terms. If Afoko's brother or family member runs for the chairmanship position of the NPP, he would be voted for if he truly deserves it and can unite the party better than Afoko did. It doesn't and wouldn't matter if he's his brother, or that he's a Northerner. Question for every loyal member of the OSONO party to answer is, did Afoko do what was expected of him as chairman?

  Truth of the matter is that,the Danquah/Busia tradition,where the NPP is coming from,need Northerners & Ewes only when they want to win elections,which is why I pity Bawumia a lot.The way late vice president,Aliu Mahama was treated by denying him of the flagbearership after Kuffour's exit should have pumped some sense into their heads that the NPP see you as human beings only for election purposes! .But they don't get! .In their inner chambers they discuss & see northerners as people who have served them as (slaves,donkorfour) in many capacities,therefore these same "donkorfour" cannot lead them.This is the truth which is not known to many northerners. So when I see a northerner killing himself for NPP,I marvel! .I know what I am talking about!
