We know that he did his “A” level in London, returned to Ghana, and was sent to Oxford by his father; but he left that honourable institution in circumstances mired in controversy (Some claim he was dismissed for drug abuse). He hasn’t been bold enough to clear the air. Thus, the negative impression endures.
  b. For whatever he is, we know him as a 3rd class holder in BA Economics (University of Ghana, Legon, 1967).
  c. We know that he entered the Court of Inns, Middle Temple, in circumstances that cannot be understood because it was a strongly defended of Middle Temple not to admit anybody falling below 2nd class (Upper Division). (Someone defended him on the basis of “legacy admission”—whatever that may mean—because his father had already passed through Middle Temple and caught a place for him).
  d. We don’t know why he left Middle Temple without doing his pupillage to be certified (Middle Temple won’t certify any candidate who didn’t do pupillage). We know that he left for Paris to work with Coudert and Freres as an administrator.
  e. His being called to the Ghana Bar happened even though he hadn’t produced any qualifying certificate to prove that he had duly completed legal training and been certified to practise as such. Only he was enrolled on that day.
  f. He hasn’t been bold enough to clear the air on his drug abuse (The Wikileaks report made damaging revelations that a politician like him seeking the highest office of the land should have cleared all doubts about if he had the

  a.No one has adduced any evidence that he was dismissed from Oxford! He could have been invited to withdraw because he was not making the grade, he could have been recalled home for " too much walaayayli/orebor life dodo" issues or Edward Akuffo-Addo's political situation at the time was led to a strain on the family finances!! After all he was a Ghanaian with the requisite qaullifications to pursue a free education at UG,Legon!!
  b.He earned a degree at UG, one can make what one will of that,third first or whatever class!!
  c.If one has an issue as to his admittance to the Middle Temple,lodge your reservations with the relevant authorities there! As far as I can discern there is know hard and fast rule about what class of degree if any at all one must attain to qualify for admittance to study law at the Inns of Court! After all there are several instances of prodigies without university degrees being admitted to study at those institutions, incidentally one must pass a rigorous examination administered by the specific Inn to be granted admission. We must assume NADAA took and passed that examination! There is no evidence to the contrary!! Legacy admission does not apply, we emphatically disavow this defence!!
  d.Pupillage: It must be noted that pupillage does not guarantee anyone "being called to the bar" to wit admittance to the practice of law in the courts of any individual jurisdiction!! One must demonstrate sufficient knowledge and proficiency in the law; when a person is permitted to sit and passes an examination administered by the competent body charged with that duty,one is deemed qualified.A law school degree, internship,pupillage etcetera are deployed as prerequisites and barriers to restrict entrance to the practice of law!! But hidden in plain sight is the actual standard in law & equity, that is: " a demonstrated capacity,proficience in and knowledge of the law. It is self evident to any mature reasonable person that capacity,knowledge and proficiency in law can be acquired without recourse to any school of law!!
  e.As demonstrated above one does not in actuality does not need a law degree to be "called to the bar" one must however pass the bar examination!! None of NADAA detractors have asserted or alleged that he did not sit and pass the Bar Examination, neither has any probative evidence been adduced to support such an assertion or allegation!! This is a baseless contention equivalent to a drowning man clutching at straws!!
  f.No probative evidence has been adduced as to drug use, anecdotal stories of dubious provenance do not suffice!! Further, if alleged marijuana use is at issue,the abject and monumental hypocrisy of the Ghanaian society in general and the elites in particular in regards to marijuana is sufficient to qualify it as immaterial, irrelevant and glaringly ludicrous!!
  
  DEFENDANT/RESPONDENT moves to request the Court of Public Opinion to dismiss the particulars in the bill of indictment as false,further DEFENDANT/RESPONDENT moves the Court to render a final "in curiam"judgement of FACTUAL INNOCENCE in the instant matter adjourn sine die!!

  As an independent observer without a dog in the fight between the NPP & the NDC, the brouhaha over NADAA's educational record, qualifications as a barrister and alleged marijuana use strike me as irrelevant, laughable ludicrous and lacking in factual basis, hence the comments above!! My opinions about JDM & NADAA and their competence and suitability for the presidency should be obvious to the unblinkered denizens of this and other fora!! I believe both the NDC & NPP are ideologically bankrupt not to mention ethically and morally challenged in the extreme!!
  If one wishes to challenge NADAA's competence and suitability for the preesidency, there are many serious and germane grounds to do so!! This manufactured controversy referenced above is an odious example of the calculated mudslinging that serves in swaying lo info voters and firing up ones political base!! Together with stoking ethnic chauvinism and its malevolent brother ethnic prejudice,it is used to obscure and deflect real debate on the real critical and pressing issues that underlie our current socioeconomic crisis!!! Meanwhile to paraprase the patriot Michael Dei-Annang:the vast majority of Ghanaians are running twice as hard as they should need to only to stay in the same untenable situation or in all too many cases suffering socioeconomic regression and retardation!!

  Every narrated accounts of the infamous Kufour era stadium renovation project recalled an open bid process that only had to be thrown into an NPP preferred and reserved waste basket by Kufour to accord the NPP president the right to hand the contract over to a Chinese company that did not participate in the initial open bid process offering. Guess what Dr. Kwame, the highly intelligent Nana Akufo-Addo as you and others in the NPP choose to accord him, was in the Kufour government but saw nothing wrong. Please tell your readers, Dr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, how that smoke screen Kufour era process that gave us the Woyome saga is and can be better or preferably over this JIT process?
  
  My only disappointment with Ghana is the lack of wisdom in a nation with adequate number of classroom educated populace that are neither principled or moral. We shamelessly copy any and all things from other nations we admire for transplant in Ghana even when those actions show us to be lacking original thoughts. So is it the open bid process that tickles your fancy, Dr. Kwame, or just another excuse to shower undeserved praises on Nana Akufo-Addo for a well screwed up process the NPP normalized?
