  Until l read the above interesting and stimulating article, l must confess that l never had any clue that the Anlos/Ewes as an ethnic group trace their ancestral origins from Southern Sudan centuries ago. Now coincidentally history informs us that the Akans ( Ashantis, Guans,Fantis,Akyems,Kwahus ,Akuapems ,Akwamus, Bonos,Denkyiras etc) as an ethnic group also trace their ancestral origns from Southern Sudan centuries ago before migrating over years and stages to their current abode. Who knows perhaps at the time when both Akans and our Ewe compatriots eons ago called Southern Sudan home, both groups might have shared some form of common kingship and may well have been kinsmen before migrating south to the forest and coastal regions of present day Ghana.
  Now,if my assumptions are right then it could be argued and said that both Akans and Ewes share common ancestral and cultural affinities which cuts across centuries. In other words both Ewes and Akans,though might be culturally different today,must see themselves as one and the same people with the same destiny.
  For that matter, we should not allow ugly politics and politicians to divide and tear us apart and see ourselves as enemies. We need to open up and be welcome to each other and celebrate our cultural diversity
