I heard people conderming the happening in France, what about pallistian, Afghanistan, Irag and Lebanon, Libya and Egypt. Please if the killings in these places are ignored it would be better to ignore this one as well. Human beings should be treated equally. I. would advise all Muslim's to understand that the only reason why Muslims can call their prayers in the open is because other Muslims who are disturbed also disturb others. It is wrong for the Western powers to bulldoze their way in majority Muslim countries and kill innocent Muslims. We must condemn that and there are many who have been condemning that too. Many Christians (especially those of a leftist bend) condemn such actions.
The one big difference some of us see in these two things is that when the West go to kill innocent Muslims, they don't say they are doing it in the name of their God, or Holy Mary or Jesus Christ. But these Muslims, who may be retaliating for the killing of fellow Muslims (even though you didn't expressly state that) do the killing in the name of Allah! They say they are doing it in the name of Islam. It is this religious element that many of us are against. And it is precisely because of this religious element that Suleman has written this piece and the other one of a few days ago about true and false Muslims.

These groups ISIS, Bokoharam, et al are NOT Muslims they do those things for their selfish and material gains. I am a Muslim and also weep bitter for how these people pretendly presents our Beautiful Religion in such manner.

The national chief imam and his people are sitting there in accra doing nothing about this terrorism threat. It is not only about terrorism but lack of education. Go to the Islamic communities in Ghana and see for yourself especially mamobi ......etc not even a day senior high sch in this areas. If Islam had not fought many wars both during the time of the Prophet and even long after the Prophet (losing some of these wars and winning others), like Islam would not have survived or would be a very tiny religion. The spread of Islam throughout the world was enabled by war and conquest.
The thing is that even Christianity also fought many terrible wars and did terrible things in the name of the religion. But Christianity has stopped that in the main. Islam is yet to reach that same stage where nobody can take up guns and justify it by reference to the Quran.
