Rockson, having studied and passed Constiyutional and Administrative Law (A Level), to my knowledge High Court Judges can sit in any High Court within the country. In fact some of them even travel to other regions to sit wher ...

Rockson, having studied and passed Constiyutional and Administrative Law (A Level), to my knowledge High Court Judges can sit in any High Court within the country. In fact some of them even travel to other regions to sit where there are shortages of such Judges. To the best of my knowledge, it does not make any difference whether a High Court Judge sits in Accra, Kumasi or Swedru, they have the same jurisdiction. Is the defendant saying that a police constable based in Accra has more powers than one based in Takoradi? If there is any precedent to this, perhaps our legal qualified colleagues may shed light on it to enlighten us.
