There's a whiff of bitterness towards President John Mahama and the current NDC government which do not largely constitute 'the Rawlings devoted followers'. Your role as Rawlings emissary and language is certainly suggestive of President John Mahama's 'ingratitude' to the Rawlings and his followers like yourself. This has, probably, made President Mahama and his government a target of bitter criticism.
If you, Mr Martin Amidu is a man of principles and Catholic values, you've got to know that your trip to that foreign President is a prime example of political corruption. Was that foreign President your NDC's "election strategist" or NDC party "financier"? Isn't such move wide open for corruption in Ghana?

Sometimes, certain emotions overcome us despite our very best natures.
Then also, even if we are acting out of bitterness, that, alone, is no guarantee (or proof) that the said action is a bad or negative one. Some people can perfectly hold the balance and still see straight even under constrained circumstances.
That is why it is best to judge Amidu by the arguments he presents, not by simplistically imputing some unverifiable psychological motives to his actions.
