For the secret and illegal import of arms into the country? Those arms were carted in the night from the ports and sent to unknown destications in the country... Or,
For failing to jail Richard Anane for defrauding Ghana Airways to the tune of more that 100 thousand dollars and for awarding contracts to his friend without bids?
Alexandra O'Brien wrote to parliament detailing Anane's abuse of position and misuse of state funds for sexual gratification, asking that Anane shouldn't be vetted. Or,
For trying to contract loans from Barber saloon in the UK? Or,
For courting Gizelle Yajzi? No, don't tell me there was no evidence of that. The mere fact that a foreign Arab lady could make accusation so against serious against a sitting president (in fact the first of its kind in the whole world) in Ghana indicts the president mind and conscience. That lady did more than that, she seriously insulted the president on the radio, and no did nothing because the was nothing to do. Kufuor chose to unzip to the detriment of his reputation and all his entourage did was say a series of untruth for him. Or,
For buying a hotel and lying it was for his son? A president who rode to the presidency on "Zero Tolerance for corruption" started negotiations for buying the hotel just months (He started the negotiations in 2001 September) after he became the president. Or,
For junketting around the world for no justifiable reason than his "love" for traveling? The traveler president during his mandates, traveled more than the US president, British President, The Canadian President, The French President and German President all put together! Or,
For his kickbacks? Asked Haruna Esseku if you didn't know about it. Or,
For his excessive womanizing, where ladies on his tour were supposed to have fought in hotels in Ethiopia and Kenya? His wife walked one time into an airplane and supposedly walked off the plane on lady who was trying to go on an official visit to the US with the president.
...
What exactly requires celebration in Kufuor?
You see, we blacks all over in this world are so stupid we know no shame. Else, no one should be fooling asking to celebrate Kufuor whose tutelage of the institution called Ghana can't even be credited with 20% effective governance and achievement, and apart from Nkrumah, no other leader in Ghana can boast of achievement up to 30% of Western standard. In fact, with all the resources in our hand, it is noteworthy that we are effective only in excessive expenditure, starting even with Nkrumah despite that he tried to guard against it himself.
Stop promoting mediocrity and thereby giving stupid politicians tools for more thievery.
Kufuor would go down as one of the useless president who intentionally allowed excessive looting of our resources with impunity.
(I don't have time to read this over, so correct the faults if you find any and have a good day. Note I don't hate Kufuor, it is the system in Ghana that allow all politicians to do what the do to the country, but we COUNTED MORE ON KUFUOR and got more that we asked for)

When a president is elected (that is, asked for votes of the electorate) he assumes power on the premise that, he is there to better/ameliorate the situation of his country or the status quo erat. It will be insane for anyone therefore to erect a platform asking to praise a president for what he did good for a country. After all, he was paid to do what he did.
We noted that, the situation Kufuor inherited from NDC was just too good to take the country our of the doldrums and strife that engulfed the country when NDC was being up to no good at all. But Kufuor just blew away the chance and turned about to indulge in extreme and unprecedented policies that further pushed us toward precipice. The effect of Kufuor's bad governance is still harrowing into current political and economic situation. For instance, Akufo Addo is suffering because of Kufuor's policies.
Can some of you give us a break? Some of us want a different Ghana that does not exist in the minds of dreamers like you. WE know the type of country the likes of you want since you're so myopic and ignorant.
No, you don't understand yourself, you don't love Ghana. What is more, Ghana is crawling with types of you, which makes it accurate conjectures we may be in the hole for a long time to come...

You're either a lazy tribal troll or a classroom educated Ghanaian of the Ashanti kind in need of logical thought processing. For starters it always behooves me when zealots of the Busia-Danquah/dumbo clan make the claim of some largess left by the British to be mismanaged by Nkrumah. Do you clowns and intellectual misfits ask if the British hauled in money from the UK for use or through slave labour of our forefathers and the plundering of mineral and natural resources of the Gold Coast? Secondly do you Opuku Agyeman and others believe and think the British developed Ghana on a parallel footing as our labor, natural and mineral resources were used to develop Britain? What did Nkrumah build in Ghana that was either not needed, had not been lacking or were provided by the British slave masters of Ghana?
I do not have to had sat through years of classroom education and or indoctrination of tribal foolishness in Ghana to know God gave me common sense, a sense of fairness and as a practicing Christian wannabe know there is a wrong that is manifested in our tribal politics. All I know is that access to education, the internet and political power is not synonymous to wisdom and try as some of Ghana's educated but intellectually dishonest along with a slew of shameless tribal bigots try to rewrite history, the truth never changes as common sense does not lose it's value.
If you will only let wisdom and logic prevail, Mr. Okatakye Opuku Agyeman, you would know that Kufour is a distinguished educated jackass of a President, bar none. For while I can excuse Rawlings because of his half ass education level Kufour sold important government assets to his pay masters in line with the euro centric belief that Africans are incapable of managing or of self rule. A wise leader cannot have a bunch of yahoo's run the government from parliament thinking they are capable but conclude there are no able-bodied Ghanaians to manage national assets unless sold to private owners as dictated by his circus masters. And Kufour did so while stealing like others before him and yet bought himself a gold medallion around his charred neck to show the world how ignorant we are and got rewarded. Do you, Opuku Agyeman know of any system where one can get free things without a cost to someone or to society? If not then your worship of Kufour is as hollow as all who pick politicians in Ghana as modern day saviors.
