  There's nothing wrong with wishful thinking but wishing does not reality make in Ghana or elsewhere. To be truly a practicing democratic state there has to be independent institutions of state and above all checks on the three critical branches of government; the judiciary, the legislature/parliament and the executive branch/presidency. In Ghana we chose and continue to accept lip service and slogans over substance thus we have the people/NPP who led us to this white elephant we call Ghana democracy continue to call Ghana a democracy while the NDC which is nothing more than a band of film flams with no purpose or direction but a worship at their founders alter to make fun at the expense of socialism or progressive democracy.
  
  While there will never be a perfect or absolute man made system without flaws democracy which is built on the instinctive greed of man has in place practices and procedures that will ensure sustainability in successful democratic nations while we choose gutter level practices of tribal preferences and hypocrisy as standards for a delusional Ghana democracy. Can anyone in Ghana, NPP, NDC, media houses and all the worthless think tanks name one effective, efficient and functional institution in Ghana?
  
  Only worthless street level thugs visit the scenes of their crime and in Ghana worthless institutions of government and the political parties of NDC and NPP continue to visit upon Ghana the bull each election cycle expecting different results; the NPP and NDC know they've got new kind of fools in Ghanaians and they may be right because we keep voting them into office.
