What situational analysis are you referring to? The docter has in subsequent writings referenced Nigeria. Why can't we simply admit that the cost is too huge? I agree with the doctor that cost is bloated. Provide contrary argument on why it is not instead of insulting. If there is anything unintellectual, it is what you have just done. You are not just unintellectual, you are also a coward who hides behind pseudo identities to attack men who are bold to state a position.

You don't even know the difference between a constitutional instrument and a constitution. Please next time do a bit of research before you start your raving and ranting. You just spewed absolute gibberish. What a lazy brain.

Interesting comment, Fiamodzi PhD. Apparently the only thing which caught your attention on his position that there is no constitutional directive to organize elections on December 7. Could that be anymore lazier? A lot of other things have been said and that is all you saw. Is that smartness or laziness?

Dr Nii Amu Darko, please refer to Article 51 of the 1992 Constitution. That is what the EC Chairman was referring to when she appeared before Parliament. The first Constitutional Instrument (CI) that regulated the 1992 Elections indicated January 7 as the date the elected president and parliamentarians assumed office. Since then subsequent CIs made December 7 as election day and January 7 as the date that the new president and parliament assumed office. That is, by customary practice November 7 and January 7 were election and handing over dates respectively. For that to be changed a new CI will be put before parliament by the EC and that is a constitutional duty of the EC.
The earlier date for the elections was a recommendation by the Supreme Court Justices who heard the 2012 presidential petition. The IEA recommended November 7 and the EC accepted it. I also pointed out to the IEA to avoid first week in November because of the possible clash with the US elections.
You seem to suggest that NDC is manipulating the EC as Rawlings did in 1992. I am not sure if the November 7 election date was chosen by NDC or the government.
