What did Dr. K A. Busia and or Dr. J. B. Danquah do to support the claim either was refined if classic Busia-Danquah ideologues could by blind, deaf and dumb not to appreciate any good out of Nkrumah and his CPP? You cannot claim either of their classroom earned credential is synonymous with being polished or wise and damn sure cannot say their treasonous activities elevated their status can you?
So before you go looking for reasons to hate you may just want to look in the NPP rear view mirror and learn that we cannot throw adjectives or adjectival clauses around based on tribal or political party preferences. Busia was a failure at government which makes him worse than those before him especially Nkrumah because without wisdom and foresight Busia typifies those who sit on the sidelines and criticized Nkrumah and the CPP but woefully unenlightened to learn from Nkrumah's mistakes. You cannot call such people polished unless you are dunce.

Oh, I forget that people like you only understand arrest and incarceration without charge or trial, libel laws and decrees.
You are so stupid, you can only hide in that sinkhole in the American ghetto running from the Immigration services.

I was attracted by the title to read this piece. As author of the yet to be completed series, Intellectual Bankruptcy of Ghanaians, I was under the impression that it dealt with what I have been belabouring to explain, or put across. Rather, it turned out to be essentially another NPP hatchet job on the Mahama regime.
I don't hold brief for them and, as it were, they thoroughly deserved the lambasting for a lame thing as using such a colossal sum of money on a triviality like that! Indeed, when the people of the Konu area in the VR, comprising towns and villages, among them. Anyako and Tsiame, needed only $52000 to construct a new borehole for water and it wasn't forthcoming! The action is on the same scale as President Mahama attempting to freight those charlatans calling themselves Prophets, Overseers, Pastors, etc. to Israel upon being sworn into power!
Having made my position clear on the fiasco, I was equally outraged to read some of these NPP yobos insulting my intelligence and that of some foremost progressive colleagues. Dr Bokor, for example, wrote articles condemning that action but all that he got for his efforts from the unthinking NPP mass, led by Akadu, were insults.
What topped the bill was proclaiming Dr Abrefa Busia a "polished man". How can one describe one of the most reactionary and backward Africans ever as "polished"? Was he not the one that supervised the abolition of free and compulsory education in Ghana, thereby allowing even Zaire (CDR) under Mobutu to eventually surpass Ghana in literacy rates? Did he not pronounce that when the youth go to school, they no longer wanted to farm, when Nkrumah has already demonstrated through the state farms and Workers Brigade that agriculture is a thing of pride for even educated people?
Was he not the ethnocentric and bigoted LEADER of the NLM and then the PP, the evil genius who sowed seeds of ethnocentrism in Ghana, the schism which is with us to today?
Was he not the jingoist that ushered in the Aliens Compliance Order, that saw over one eight of the population of Ghana being ordered to leave Ghana?
I can go and on about the No Court, No Court duplicitous hypocrite who some claim was their doyen of the rule of law and democracy. Such a person is just one of the crude, visionless Big Men it has been the misfortune of Africans to be having.

I knew you are a partisan hack at best but more so a tribal zealot in need of redemption after going through the list of mismanagement issues you and others in the NPP throw out in your bunched up underpants. Here is my logic why being partisan or tribal has destroyed Ghana. If the list of mismanagement activities you, Mr. Eyiah, gave were Ghana's only listing since the 1966 coup that toppled Nkrumah, we could all be dancing in the streets in Ghana and probably be the toast of the world. The problem is, has been and continue to be those of you blinded by partisan and tribal foolishness you see no evil or fault with those politicians from your respective tribes or preferred political party but everything wrong with everyone else. If we had been lucky in Ghana to have had only those events you listed, which by the way amount to less than US $1 billion, we could be sitting pretty in Ghana. But you chose to deliberately ignore the ills of the NPP and all others who gave us the 1966 coup. What on earth should wise people think if Kufour can elevate bomb throwers and saboteurs to hero or icons in Ghana even if he considers them freedom fighters them what should anyone call those elsewhere in the world fighting for their freedom via acts of unimaginable evil?
Please use your head, if there are any thoughtful processes left or leave have baked opinion off a Web boards where people are easily impressed with folly.

A President of a sovereign state, posing in front of a CNN logo for photo opportunity, has no class in statesmanship in today's politics.
NDC and most of its EWES supporters will never be at peace with Akans. They are always looking over their shoulders because of their misdeeds-coup plotters from 1966 to JJ.
How can any level headed reader of this article disagree with the narration? Of course, most Ewes will always see it through their warped lenses. Very partisan beyond belief.
Well done, K.A.Eyiah!!

Your inward looking and inferiority complex will kill you lot! I sincerely hope that the rest of the people of Ghana will see through your nonsense in 2016!
How old are you? Had Busia not established the “Students Loan Scheme,” how many of the poor people in Ghana would be attending university today? Just think about it. In the 1970-71 academic year all three established universities in Ghana could only admit 9000 students, for all first year courses, including certificate and diploma, because the state could only provide free university education for that many. Where In the civilised world, apart from Scotland, with a population of 5.2m and riding on the backs of the English, does any government provide free QUALITY education at the or its post-secondary level?
Next time you are able to afford your fare to Ghana, check among your dirt poor compatriots in your part of the country that brings very little or nothing to national kitty, if they would have been able to go to university if there were not students’ loans.
Ingrates like you still accuse Busia of being anti-alien, yet even ‘agbelima’ was being sold to you lot by foreigners. Just go to Lagos Town, Mamprobi of Ahaiman and Markets and take a census of who the traders there are. Naturally, when the Nigerian kicked of Ghanaians from their country, it was your countrymen, under the guise of National Emergency management that stole 75% of the money that was supposed to be used to resettle them. Would you stick that too on Busia?
Obviously you never heard Busia speak as a politician or Lay Preacher of the Methodist Church, a man who speak on any subject for three hours with just cue cards! You can crow all you like, Busia was the first African to attaend University College, Oxford University
What don't you understand about a refined human being? Did you hear of Ward Brew insulting Busia at Legon, being arrested and Busia ordering his release within minutes?
Did you hear about PV Obeng's gang that demonstrated bare-chested against Busia at the Great Hall of UST in October 1970? You know his reply after Prof Evans-Anfom apologised for that scene? “Don’t let that worry you, it is part of student life.” Your hero sent armed soldiers to shoot students, including a poor foreigner, at Legon. That is what I meant by the difference between a refined politician and the primitive lot.
Oh, I forget that people like you only understand arrest and incarceration without charge or trial, libel laws and decrees and abduction of nursing mothers!
