What has the Ewes done to most of these Asante/Akyem? Why only the Volta region, particularly, the south that borders Togo, and not Burkina or The Ivory Coast? The Togolese Authorities should cause the arrest of this pathological liar and and so called Economist to tell the world how he came by such fake documents. After all, they have petitioned the whole world, and it is only good that they tell the world how they came by such documents. They will never know peace today nor tomorrow. Worst of all, Akadu too spreads some of the prejudices Akans hold about Ewes. Akadu too has called Ewes "envious and full of low self-esteem" whatever he means by those terms. One would think he would rise above such characterizations.

I don't hold brief for Bokor and I, too, don't like the one-sided and shallowness of the arguments in his numerous articles (he boasts he spends 30 minutes on each of them and it truly shows) but I think critics should take him up on the shallowness of those arguments rather than take the facile path of accusations of tribalism.

For instance, the present article is based on premises that are false (Ewes are not the only ones who reside in the VR, Bawumia didn't really pinpoint Ewes alone, the Togolese in the northern parts of the country are not Ewes and if they too cross over to register in the VR, this has nothing to do with being Ewe, etc) and these are the things to point out to Bokor, not his Eweness or trying to find a tribal angle on everything.

We are all entitled to choose the side of the political divide we want or even to think our tribe is better than other tribes but the educated among us are especially obligated to give very good reasons for whatever choices they make and to rise above tribal trivialities. I don't think Bokor does that. Neither does Akadu!
