Even before then generals were saluting a Flt Lieutenant who should have been kicked out of the Ghana Air Force long before.
Unfortunately, the Ghana Armed Forces went to the dogs after January 13 1972 and every soldier of the time knew that!

The heading should be "The soldier is taugh self-discipline and learns to become disciplined". The verb, "learn" should be in the third person singular which is "learns". This is Primany School stuff.

I wish all Ghanaians could be subjected to this type of discipline.

a well written article but WO1 the soldiers of nowadays are in for the money & the peacekeeping with no/little regard to discipline. formerly, rarely did soldiers commit offences like stealing or aiding & abetting crimes. but ... read full comment

They are discipline alright, but the discipline is for the money & nothing else.
