  If these former Guantanamo detainees pose no risk, why didn't the U.S. itself keep them but want them re-settled somewhere? Of course, the U.S. Congress moved to ban the Guantanamo detainees from U.S. because they think these Jihadists and al-Qaeda operatives still pose a significant security risk.
  
  Ghana's decision to take them is pure INSANITY! And was Ghana's Parliament informed of this decision? This is a matter of national security, hence, the Foreign Minister, Hannah Tetteh must appear before Parliament on this.

  I wonder how JJ Rawlings who masterminded the 1992 Constitution feels - the Constitution that vests absolute power in the Presidency (Executive) without checks and balances. You asked a very pertinent question in your piece, i.e., [D]id you tell the Parliament about this serious issue?
  
  You see the present Constitution gives the Presidency so much power, it does not need to tell Parliament anything before taking action. This is what happens when you give pearls to pigs, they trample over them because they have no use for them.
  
  Help educate our fellow Ghanaians because as long as the Rawlings' 1992 is still in effect, idiots and thieves in the Presidency with dubious character will make decisions such as we are witnessing now. What we need in Ghana is a Westminister-style Constitution that vests power in Parliament (the people's representatives).
  
  Please join me because the only solution is to overhaul the 1992 Constitution and transfer absolute power to Parliament.

  Has everyone opposing the Gitmo transfer lost their effing mind? Is there anything free in the world? Does our God shower manner upon us so we don't have to work to feed our hunger or quench our thirst? Did a KNUST graduate not join ISIS? Does the NPP not count on foreign government assistance to overthrow Ghana governments? Does our so called educated class not take their matching orders from acquired behavior and practices from afar even when those traits are a detriment to life in Ghana?
  
  Like the hypocrites and unprincipled people that we are we expect peoples of the world to help our politicians to mess up Ghana with all the foreign aid that help prop up Ghana governments but frown over what we get in return or our deals with the devil. Let the NPP say it Kufour was the best president yet his government had Ghana government debts forgiven and more handouts from foreign governments without you clowns knowing there will come a time to pay up. Our cup now runneth over.
