  You did not tell us whether Ghana has a bone to pick with Alqaida. You also did not tell us why will the asylum seekers would want to attack Ghana for its brotherhood to them.

  Pls Tawiah, try to understand the difference between an ex-convict and a detainee, which the two subjects were in Guantanamo. Besides, the Americans themselves have turned away from the flawed intelligence that you are quoting here, including that which strongly held that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The fact that someone was arrested and labelled a terrorist by Americans does not mean they are. This is why the two were never convicted of any crime.

  This is what the U.S. do all the time: they create chaos wherever they go and they leave it for other countries to sort it out. There are some states in the U.S. that are larger than the whole of Ghana with their populations less than the population of Accra alone(New Mexico for example). Why can't they send all the x-convicts and x-suspects and all the refugees who are by-product of U.S. lies and atrocities in other people's countries to those uninhabited states and give them a new beginning? After all they are the ones who created the mess in the first place.

So are we being hypocritical when it has dawn on us to take in "badies" from the US? In this world nothing is for free; either you pay back fiscally, spiritually, morally,with your freedom or dignity, sovereignty etc. let's take note and learn lessons.
