  George W. Bush was stranded at an airport while he was out on the campaign trail. In the lounge,he spotted an old man sitting all by himself, who looked awfully familiar.
  So George W. approached the old man and said "Excuse me, sir, but aren't you Moses?"
  
  The old man looked at him, got up, and walked away. George W. thought that was rather odd, but decided he mustn't have been Moses, after all.
  
  A little while later, George W. saw the same man in the restroom, and couldn't overcome the feeling that he knew this man's name was Moses. "Excuse me, sir, I'm sorry to bother you again, but are you sure your name is not Moses?" But the old man just walked away.
  
  When the airline finally called the passengers to board the plane, George W. sees the man yet again, and decides to try one more time: "I'm so sorry to keep bothering you, but I can't tell you how much you look like my friend Moses: are you SURE you're not Moses?"
  
  The old man heaved a sigh, and said, "Yes, my name is Moses, but the last time I spoke to a Bush, I was sent into the wilderness for 40 years. So please leave me alone!"

  It is clear by most measures that Ghana is not moving ahead.
  
  As such, we must actually extend Ms. Osei's thesis: An incompetent NDC gov't does not denote a competent NPP, or a competent PPP....!

  A competent party that bathes its members in acid?shoot disagreeing members is broad day light?go to bed.It is amazing how some NPP members tickle themselves and laugh,this is a party in disarray,disjointed and seriously discredited internationally.If you can not run a party,how can you run a country.Whenever there is internal turmoil in the party,Nana is overseas leaving his nephews to spill blood and clean up before he returns.A competent party that has suspended more leaders that prostitutes remove their underwear.

  Well, if you were unable to even tell who wrote this essay from the top, who, we must ask, is really "chewing around the english language"?
  
  So, maybe, just maybe, you want to put away your political lens, re-read, and see the writing for what it probably is!

  His problem is that he wants to be President by all means. It is not even enough for him to be a kingmaker - someone behind the throne seeing to it that things go well for mother Ghana. He wants to be the one occupying the throne.
  
  That's what is wrong with so many of our "top" politicians. Akufo-Addo doesn't want to be the power behind the throne. He wants to be the throne itself. Mahama won't give way to somebody more competent. He wants to be the one on top...
  
  Mahama is not doing well but that doesn't mean Ghanaians want Akufo-Addo either. We don't want either of them.
  
  We need a fresh face - not Mahama or Akufo-Addo. Nduom should see to a reconvening of the Nkrumaist forces who will support a neutral person. It is too late now for them to organise to topple the cart being occupied by NDC and NPP. But a third force can get enough votes to deny both NPP and NDC an outright victory and force whoever wins to compromise with a third force.

  Yes,with no effective third force to help check the hegemony of NDC,Ghana,s parliament is just a joke.Apart from NDC and NPP,all others are mere parties in name not making any impact in politics.

  Koo, this is not the fault of politicians and their political parties, it is the fault of the electorates. We Ghanaians have decided not to recognize any other party. Always if it is not NDC then it should be NPP, yet these two parties are like two equal halves of the same melon; very difficult to differentiate one from the other. This is why Ghana has never moved a step forward.

  I don't think the electorate has to be blamed. It is the politicians and their parties. They are to sell themselves to the electorate, not the other way round. If third parties cannot unite and present a strong force to the electorate, why should you blame the voter? If NPP cannot convince Ewes to vote for them, why blame Ewes? Right now, the splintered Nkrumaist forces are all to blame for failing to present a united force. All of them want to be presidential candidate. Should that be blamed on the electorate? Remember, most of the voters are people with little education in the villages and slum areas of the cities. Why blame them?

  I read your article with a beat of uneasiness. The title was very charming and attractive but I differ with the substance in some respect.First of all the mantra on opponents of President Bahama's has been incompetence. what is incompetence in governance. The ability to hold a country together in one piece and peace is key to determining what competence is really about. Political stability is the backbone of any country. Especially at a time when opponents of the government have promised hell and brimstone on the government and people of Ghana. The Npp forgets that whatever they intend doing to Ghana will come back at them.Gabby a nephew of the Npp flag bearer promised on air to all Ghanaian that they will the president so uncomfortable that he will not have his peace to govern the country. later the same people turn round to say he the president is incompetent. They must be joking. the elections will be litmus test as to who has been incompetent in Ghana. The one who has not been able to keep his party together and the other who has been able to keep both country and party together in spite of the daunting challenges he has been facing.

  We missed your "New year's resolutions by Ghanaians for change" published on the 6th, and just got a chance to read it. With your latest, it is clear where we are headed on this "ride".
  
  We agree: Ghana needs a super-strong, policy-oriented, Ghana-centered voice, and action to boot!
  
  However, that action cannot be just self-centered, self-interest action, even if those actions end up providing jobs for some at the right location(s).
  
  As the old mantra goes, "What is Good for GM/Ford, Is Not Necessarily Good for the USA/country". (We can do the substitution).
  
  We hope that in the coming days you will get a chance to come back with more, and educate us about what exactly are the "competent" policies and orientation the PPP under Dr. Nduom will practice and thus make them deserving of a vote in the majority.
