  Paraghraph 1 from Kwarteng's crap:

  I will rather put it this way: that corruption is endemic in our Ghanaian society; seems to be in our DNA. It is not limited to politicians and judges only. Anas and Amidu are trying their best to smoke corruption out of our midst.

  Let me once again laud your attempt to cogitate and dissect the seemingly intractable canker of corruption in Ghana's Judiciary and Parliamentary systems, and in actual fact in Ghanaian society in general.
  
  But before I get to that point, let me say a few words about your commentary on Anas. If you believe that the end justifies the means in a country with a body of laws, then you are absolutely right, Anas had detractors. As the record shows, Martin Amidu was his #1 detractor including me. You must understand that the constructive relationships between the three arms of government - the executive, the legislature and the judiciary - are essential to the effective maintenance of Ghana's Constitution and the rule of law. Knowing you, I doubt if you would support a government that uses a private undercover non-state agent to undermine another arm of government.
  
  Besides being cruel, undemocratic and in fact crude, the Executive and the Chief Justice have remedies enshrined in our Constitution to rein in these corrupt judges. No democratic nation on earth, and I repeat, no democratic nation would indulge in this primitive chicanery that permits the Executive to use an unregistered company to undermine another arm of government. If you have not given much thought to this, then please do because it is a serious fundamental breach of our Constitution. The end does not justify the means in a country of laws.
  
  In discussing corruption in the Judiciary and Parliament, there is one corollary; that is, corruption is inherent in peoples' DNA - both black, white, yellow and in-between. But the question we must ask is, why has corruption become endemic in black countries more so than in white countries. Why do littering laws so effective in Singapore, Canada and the Scandinavian countries than black African nations? How do you suppose we can contain corruption in the Judiciary and Parliament if we as a country cannot oversee our littering laws?
  
  Democracy without a commitment to observing our laws is no democracy, because the real meaning of democracy is, law, order and good government and our country is good at neither.
