Quite an interesting read. I wholeheartedly share your view that we are essentially ephebiphobic traditional society. Ephebiphobia, the fear of youth, is rampant in our culture. Case in point, our Asafo system that depends on the youth is gradually disappearing.

Hopefully futuristics, ecology, and STEMIC education would usher in futures, ecological thinking among our young ones; and emphasizing science, technology, engineering, mathematics, innovations, & communications would make education more meaningful for the youth as they move forward.
