Mr. writer let me remind you that the crusades and inquisitions are the christian equivalent of islamic terrorism. This attempt to paint these two events in christian history black has always been a propaganda strategy by muslims to divert attention from the evil doctrines of their belief and put the blame squarely on the terrorist rather the scriptures that inspire them. This they do by citing such instances as the crusades, and probably some other events in christian history as if to say that look; these people also did it a thousand years ago so there are bad nuts everywhere. One thing such muslim appologists wish they could do is for them to have had reasons to link such events with the teaching of the bible so the bible and islamic scriptures could be equal in that score ie. inspiring violence against fellow humans.
Now to the crusades, christians did not get up and started running to Israel and the middle east to fight, maim and kill in the name of christianity. They acted based on what your article seeks to advice. They refused to remain 'saints' in the face of jihadists onslaught, rape, looting, enslavement, desecration of christian holy sites, destruction of churches and the convertion of some to mosques through out Asia. There were also invasion and islamatisation attempts on europian kingdoms and christian strongholds in Europe. For instance there were attempts to conquer and take over the vatican and if you follow jihadists propaganda you may have heard them fantasying how Rome will be conquered by them one day.
All these were glossed over for centuries by the global christian community despite numerous cries for help from both christians and non christians alike in Asia for military interventions to the pope to save the dehumanizing manner they lived under the jihadists.
European christians and the pope became serious declared the first crusade only when the jihadists threat to conquer them and destroy their civilisation was all times high.
So how does this(the crusades) equal islamic terrorism?

They dont tell you how the people of mecca persecuted Prophet Mohammed (saw) and his few supporters untill they had to flee to madina. They never tell you the peace pacts he had with the jews untill the jews sought to kill him and also connived with the meccan disbelievers who want to see Prophet Mohammed dead.Your pastors never tell you of the benefits non muslims recieved by way of recieving zakat from Caliph Umar.
I urge you to read the Quran that has commentary to give you an indepth understanding rather listening to hearsay.
