  Life would not be the same without veteran Cameron Duodu stepping in to fill the vacuum, crossing the "tees" and dotting the "eyes". Sometimes the state of contemporary journalism ceases to inspire otherwise gifted young people and draw them to the profession. No journalist himself, yours sincerely nevertheless thinks that Cameron is a blessing. A pity his pieces receive so few comments or discussion!

  Kwaebibirem odehye Cameron Duodo yenim wo firi teteete. Some of us have always enjoy reading your columns from going back to your days with the Graphic corporation. You have always been a knowledgeable, authentic and principled writer who always bring back memories and feelings of nolstagic of yesteryears. I remember very well your principled position you took in the saga of opening up dialogue with then apartheid South Africa, between then Prime minister Dr Kofi Aberfa Bussia, and his Information minister K G Ossei Bonsu, who had opposed his boss. Anyway we pray that Twiediampong with give you the strength and the wisdom and long live to continue with your columns, writings, commentaries and your good work.

  One can easily tell the age profile of most of the readers of ghanaweb by the number of comments this nice trip to a time gone by has elicited. Most are young. If they had been old, they would have remembered and come with comments.
  
  I am old, so I remember much of it. I remember all the beautiful girls that adorned the front page of the Sunday Mirror. Yes, you bought it on a Saturday together with the day's Graphic but it was really a Sunday reading so the name wasn't too wrong... Then they took Sunday away. Then they took the whole newspaper away... Is it still there at all?
  
  The Spectator was its equivalent for the Ghanaian Times which was always a junior partner to the Graphic. You see, you could even call Ghanaian Times "Graphic" which became the generic name for a newspaper. So you went to buy "Graphic" even though it was Ghanaian Times you were buying.
  
  But one thing, though. As an Agony Aunt, "Dear Dolly" was far more popular than "Dear Mary". Any of the oldies want to disagree?
