  I,m glad whoever wrote this propaganda left Akyem-Oda out of this false equation because there is nothing to write home about concerning Akyem -oda,the most industrialised and beautiful town in the Eastern region.The district alone accounts for 20% of the timber haulage in the entire country from the pre- independence era to date,not foretting foodstuffs,Cocoa etc which necessitated the hethereto Kade-Oda-Achiase junction to Takoradi harbor railways,and the proverbial ersthwile Kade Matches factory.In 1971 Dr.Busia caught sod to re-construct the 70 miles Akyem-Oda/Nkawkaw road which connects the Accra/Kumasi road which also makes it easy to connect Oda/Koforidua/Kyebi/Kade and Akwapim-Akropong.And what happened?,Busia "proposes Achampong disposes".This road with its ramshackle Steel bridge over the River Birim at the Oda Sawnmills has been neglected by every Government that came after the Busia Gov't.I have the firm believe that if this construction had been awarded to the slowest construction co like the "tortoise and snail" construction firm,by now this project could have been completed after 45 wasteful years.I'm yet to see a government that would be bold enough to tackle this all important project then I would compose a paean for whichever Gov't that would be!!!

  From Koforidua to the Begoro area is a sorry sight. The roads are broken. Its very dangerous driving along those roads, too many potholes
