I'm sure you get 'ego boost' when you associate yourself with names of prominent, famous, high-profile and distinguished Ghanaians/persons you hardly know nor have any direct ancestry. Wow! I'm pretty sure, you were never at their funeral as a family member, or even contributed a 'penny' in support.
However heartless you might feel about Mr John Owusu's tragic death fleeing the Galamsey mob. Horribly and unintentionally crashed to death by his own driver, it is inappropriate, disrespectful and heartless to use John's tragic death as basis for criticising Anglo-Gold Ashanti Ltd and referring to the history of Apartheid South Africa in the company's operations in Ghana.
Think of Mr Owusu's family. Think of the environmental degradation, the serious risks to our communities and loss of human lives of Galamsey activities in Ghana.
