    THE MAIN REASON WHY NKRUMAH WAS OVERTHROWN WAS FOR FOREIGN NATIONS TO TAKE OVER ECONOMY AND TURN GHANA INTO A MARKET FOR MANUFACTURED GOODS FROM THEM.

    The ace GBC commentator the late Festus Addae was there before Joe Lartey.He later became the Public Relations officer of Ghana Armed forces and rose to become colonel.

    Edward Faakye! He also read TV news at GBTV. Later, in the 70s, some of my classmates and seniors and juniors at Komenda Tr Trg College were at GBC such as Kwamina Ainoonson, Rev Ato Brown, G.C.E . Sam, Kwamina Quagrine etc

    Afrifa was a Major at the time of the coup andnot a Lt. The junta was called National Liberation Council (NLC) and not NRC. The latter was the Kutu Acheampong's junta.

    Sakyi you are too young hence your paintng of a flowery picture. Anyway it wasnt so that we hsd enough teachers There were USA teachers called the Peace Corp and Russian teachers in every secondary school.

    I was taught by some peace corps in Mathematics and English Literature. Also taught by two British VSOs in History and Biology from 1966 to 1968.

    ITEM: If we may, it did not happen that Ankrah was simply "invited" to lead the coup 24 February, 1966.
