Whatever the benefits of sex, any request that is refused does not warrant an assault or worse. To make your article meaningful you should have called for stiffer punishment as a deterrent for sexual assaults and early interventions on abuse to forestall attacks.

The message is simple: you will not get away with attacking your partner.
The image of the driver lying in a muddy pool after locals reacted to his appalling attack should be a stark reminder to men who assault their partners.
