  That sums up the greatest truth about terrorism. This means that even if the nation-building process succeeds and the present groups of de-Nigerianized Nigerians feel the properly belong to the hood, there will still be some odd ones who will feel they want to go their own ways. As it is, Boko Haram can NEVER be completely defeated but they can be pushed to the extreme where they remain only a minor nuisance. That should be the aim rather than a complete victory. I think that has also been part of your argument - not talking about a complete victory.
  
  Then there is the intelligence work which is like half the battle. It is this, and the experiences of the real live battles, that have to be shared with neighbouring countries including Ghana. This is not just Nigeria's problem. It affects the sub-region as terrorism is adept at working across national boundaries.

  Brother Adibe, it is a big mistake to tackle the Boko Haram conflict as a strictly Nigerian problem. It is subregional, and fighting it should be done cooperatively by West African military forces; similar to ECOMOG that ended Charles Taylor's reign of terror in Sierra Leone & Liberia.
  
  And this regional military force, with shared armaments & intelligence, will remain in the subregion until the back of the Boko Haram terrorist group is broken.
  
  Meanwhile ECOWAS needs to be taken seriously. We need to take the integration of the subregion with a new dynamism.
