  That is African politics for you. The same thing will happen in Ghana if the NPP wins. Nana Akufo Addo will appoint as his ministers many of his close aids who are known to be corrupt. Even whilst in opposition they are embezzling party funds and Akuffo addo is doing nothing about it.

  The common mistake we Africans make is contrasting what pertains in the Dark Continent with the civilized world. A good contrast will be one African country with another, because Africans do not have conviction of purpose as the rest of the world; or let me put it this way, the African is flawed by nature - very devious in character.
  
  Like many western institutions we have imported into the continent, we do not understand politics, and the African predilection to crime and duplicitous characteristic would always stand in the way of progress. Every democracy is founded on the exigencies of law, order and good government. Any democracy without anyone of the above is a complete sham. I urge you to cast your eyes across all sub-Saharan Africa and tell me where there is law, order and good government. That is the nature of the African - duplicitous and devious!!!
  
  We must speak loudly against our devious characteristics if we are to effect change on the dark continent.

  But, from the little we know, General Buhari is doing a good job.
  
  1. We understand quite a bit of looted funds have been recovered, and more are being recovered.
  
  2. Defeating Boko Haram, his primary objective, appears to be on track. Just yesterday, there were reports Boko Haram "soldiers" were turning themselves in for lack of food, and equipment, in the face of onslaughts from Cameroun.
  
  3. General Buhari's Nigeria was not stupid - they did not get into that medieval "Team of Cayotes" Saudi Arabia was attempting to put together. (Not so, for that foolsih man in Gambia).
  
  The sad thing is, Nigeria, with all its population, wealth, size, and prestige in Africa, could not control a tattered pseudo-militia, Boko Haram; instead, previous leaders allowed them to fester around like a putrid wound, until it almost bled Nigeria to anarchy, and death.
  
  We hope General Buhari has enough wisdom, power, and goodwill of all Nigerians, to nip that Biafra nonsense in its track.
  
  So, bottom line: We are also not impressed with this "sham" called "Opinion: Buhari's anti-corruption sham in Nigeria".
  
  It is that, that is more of a sham, just as the name!
