So if Richard Ellimah criticizes govt policy, he, Ellimah, too can be criticized for his stance. That should not stop Ellimah - he only has to continue to fight for his point and make that point clearer.

What one should not do is to insult people. But insulting people is a matter of bad upbringing, not something emanating from partisan positions. Decent, well-brought up people do not insult others - even those they do not agree with. That is the essence of a certain type of democracy.
